Brain Anatomy: the Human and Canine Connection

STORY
“Thousands of years ago, the wolf stepped out of the forest and transformed, in an evolutionary blink of an eye, into the dog. This remarkable animal not only followed us but understood us, and we bonded with him like no other creature.” – Dogs That Changed the World: The Rise of the Dog, PBS
Dogs have been interwoven into human history for thousands of years. We have an unprecedented cross-species bond, co-evolving ways to communicate with each other in striking ways. Dogs have helped us hunt, shepherd, guard, guide, and have provided us with companionship for millennia. For many, they have become our best friends and family.
The purpose of this project was to showcase the neuroanatomy of the canine and human brain, and further, to tell a story of connection between humans and dogs. This project holds a special place in my heart because it features my dog, Robin, who was just a puppy when I created it.
